Giles Terera (born 14 December 1976) is a British actor, musician, and filmmaker. Best known for his theatre work, especially as Aaron Burr in the original London production of Hamilton, a role that won him the 2018 Oliver Award for Best Actor in a musical[1]

On September 26 2013, Terera released his first documentary, Muse of Fire, starring Dame Judi Dench and Sir Ian McKellen.[2]

Early Life[]

Terera was born on December 14, 1976, in London, England. After graduating from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 1999 Terera joined an acting ensemble at the National Theatre, where he appeared in Troilus and Cressida, Candide and The Darker Face of the Earth. He then went on to star as the Ugly Duckling in Honk!

Horrible Histories[]

Terera is known for appearing in the first 5 series of the CBBC sketch show Horrible Histories between 2009 and 2013. He played various minor roles but is best remembered as the host of HHTV Sport. After Horrible Histories finished production, Terera reunited with his co-stars in the Christmas special of Yonderland in 2015.
